Making of

The Pasticcino Bag Treasures of Japan collection celebrates the country’s finest storied artisans and craftspeople. Each bag is dressed in sumptuous silk jacquards culled from the historical archives of Kawashima Selkon Textiles, a Kyoto-based fabric manufacturer, while the signature Boule clasps are handmade by craftsmen of the Bottega Nakamori-Kumihimo, which has been handcrafting obijime and haori cords for four generations.

Available in two sizes across six designs in shades of delicate pastels, matte gold, rust, and caramel, each bag is crafted with a story to tell. The collection’s unique patterns represent cherished elements and symbols of Japanese customs, while the painterly nuances of the linings seek to replicate the interiors of kimonos.
